Nutrition Support
Providers
Explanation
Nutrition support at In Tune Healing Arts is from a non-diet and Health At Every Size (HAES) approach and is provided by a registered dietitian nutritionist, trained at Bastyr University. Current visits include but are not limited to working with clients who want to begin to heal their relationship with food, body and health and to support both mental and physical health such as autoimmune conditions, digestive disorders, disordered eating, fatigue and mental health.
What to expect
Intake Nutrition Visits:
60 minutes. Before your first nutrition visit, the dietitian will review your forms. As needed, clients can also include recent labs or other test results as needed. After these records are reviewed, the first visit typically involves learning more about history of relationship with food and body, past and current medical diagnosis, current symptoms and nutrition related goals. By the end of your visit we begin to map out your plan and set up one or a series of nutrition visits.
Follow-up Nutrition Visits:
60 minutes. Follow up visits begin to work through the plan established in the intake visit and continue to explore steps towards nutrition goals and creating a safe space to work through the challenges associated with moving towards these goals. In addition, depending on the client's needs and goals, lab results can be reviewed and a nutrition plan can be made to support these results. As needed, we can create a meal guideline and work together to find foods and recipes to support this meal guideline.
Typically clients are seen weekly or every two weeks to start, however the frequency of follow up depends on the client’s needs.
